2. What is a $60 Health Certificate? Do I need one?
When a puppy is flown on an aircraft, a USDA Health Certificate is required to be performed by a USDA
licensed veterinarian no more than 10 days prior to the flight. Our veterinarian charges us this amount and
we have to pass it on to the customer. If you pick up the puppy personally or if I deliver it to you with my personal
vehicle, this fee is not required.
3. What is a $25 Airline Approved Travel Crate? Do I need one?
When a puppy is flown on an aircraft it must place in a USDA Airline Approved travel crate. There are
specific size, food and water and bedding requirements that we must adhere to. If you pick up the puppy
personally or if I deliver it to you with my personal vehicle, this fee is not required.
4. Why is the Total Puppy price $974.25 and not $900?
We are required to charge 8.25% state sales tax for the state/county that we live in. $900 * 1.0825 = $974.25
