Top Ten Reasons to Adopt a Rescue Shiba
General Information
The RightPuppy Kennel visits the public shelters in the Carolinas looking for Shiba Inu dogs suitable
for re-homing who have run out of time and will be killed if they are not taken back to RightPuppy Kennel's
headquarters where they are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, temperament tested before we meet with potential
adopters and find the RightPuppy Kennel shelter guest a home of his or her own.
All of our guidelines and procedures revolve around the philosophies of RightPuppy Kennel's co-founders, Kevin and Danielle.
Every shiba that we take in is guaranteed loving care. Each shiba is given the medical care and vaccinations they need
and spayed or neutered before being made available for adoption.
How the Program Works
Adopting a companion shiba is a commitment to care for that pet for the rest of his or her life. The selection
and interview process is thorough and not a process that can be rushed.
- Everyone who will live with the Shiba Inu needs to come meet the prospective new family member.
- If you currently have a dog and are considering adding a Shiba Inu to your family, you must bring all your
canine family member(s) with you, as well!
- If you rent your home, please bring a copy of your lease, which permits pets, or a way for RightPuppy Kennel
to contact your landlord to confirm approval of a furry resident.
- An adoption takes approximately an hour to process, so please plan to arrive as early as possible. We look forward to helping you.
- You must love and care for your shiba as you would any other member of the family
Our adoption specialists will work with you to make the best possible match, and to make sure you have the information
and resources you need to start enjoying your new friend. We do not place animals on hold, but complete adoptions
with the first household which qualifies for a new furry friend.
